UPDATE: Here’s the ACTUAL finished product…and, I must say, this artist from Tattoo Asylum in Edison, NJ did a FANTASTIC job on my chicken scratch LOL! Very happy to complete the set with this one! Awesome highlights that prove the work of a great tattoo artist. Red Lantern Corps Oath 581 10 by GhostFreak89 If you have immense Rage and Hatred, join the Red Lantern Corps. Now back to your regularly scheduled lives…just wanted to crow about nonsense for now…be back soon… My version, in order to keep the flow on my person, will more than likely just put the word Hope in my script… Simon Baz was previously the liaison for the Red Lantern Corps when they were under the leadership of Guy Gardner. His father objected to it, as tattoos are haram. Baz has a forearm tattoo that reads 'courage' in Arabic. I will end this “puff piece” by mentioning that the set completing fourth tattoo down the road will be for the Blue Lantern Corps, also known as the Lanterns of Hope at a later date (which I will post once completed)…on a side note, my youngest daughter Erin’s first tattoo, which I paid for AND she kept a complete surprise from me until completion is below.Īs you can see, the reason she wanted to keep it a surprise is that she put my birthdate and initial to honor ME!!! Batman has stated that Simon is the only Green Lantern that he's willing to work with. The Orange Lantern logo - As the Lantern(s) whose power is derived from greed, or avarice technically, this piece (which was done yesterday) is a multi-faceted masterpiece, due to the fact that, in the comics, there is TECHNICALLY only one Orange Lantern in existence…being that I have this piece AND the fact that (for the first time) my CURSIVE writing is on display on my person (my sister has two pieces in my script), I feel that Larfleeze (the only Orange Lantern) would be proud! Red Lantern Logo on my left arm - The Red Lanterns, according to their origins, are the Lanterns of Rage…in this piece, I have the reasons for everything I do (my girls) as my source of rage (do them harm and you will see)…along with their birthdates and zodiac signs, again, in my printing…ģ. Black Lantern Logo on my right arm - The Black Lanterns, in the comics, are powered by Death…In order to make this tattoo more special, I have added the initials and birth/death dates of my “Elder Statesmen” (Dad, Mom and late brother Fred) in my left-handed chicken scratch and that is the whole purpose behind that piece.Ģ.Case in point (and now that I have three of the four that intrigue me), I will explain why these three tattoos are on my person… So I made my own version of the oath written below which I think better expresses this element. Their motives are in the right theyre just not always good at improving the situation. As tattoos are basically an extension of one’s inner feelings, I figured that one of the things that I’ve enjoyed in my lifetime is the whole mythos behind DC Comics’ creations in the Green Lantern genre of their universe. But that isnt what the red lanterns actually are, yes they are violent but there violent for a reason, usually some form of injustice in the universe.
